Product Introduction


Light burned Magnesium Oxide refers to the Magnesium Oxide formed by magnesium compounds in magnesite ore after high-temperature calcination at 700-900 degrees Celsius. It is also known as active magnesium oxide, with a chemical formula of MgO, a relative molecular weight of 40.3, a melting point of 2800C °, a boiling point of 3600 °, odorless, odorless, non-toxic, and difficult to dissolve in pure water and organic solvents. Its solubility in water increases due to the presence of carbon dioxide, and it can dissolve in acid or ammonium salt solutions. It is easily hygroscopic and can gradually absorb carbon dioxide and water in the air to form Magnesium Carbonate complex salts.


Light burned magnesium oxide (MgO):
Is used in the chemical industry to produce magnesium sulfate, magnesium nitrate, Magnesium Hydroxide, etc.
In the pharmaceutical industry, it is used to prepare acid resistant and laxative agents.
In the food processing industry, it is mainly used as a decolorizing agent.
In the magnesite building materials industry, it is the main raw material in magnesium based cementitious materials and is mainly used in the production of magnesium based cementitious materials.
By mixing light burned magnesium oxide with magnesium chloride or magnesium sulfate aqueous solution in a certain proportion, it can be cemented and hardened into a hardened body with certain physical and mechanical properties, so it is called magnesium cement. Magnesium cement, as a new type of cement, has advantages such as light weight, high strength, fire resistance, heat insulation, energy conservation and environmental protection.

The reaction activity and uniform particle size of lightly burned magnesium oxide can improve the recovery rate of valuable metals such as cobalt, nickel, copper, and platinum.
